Partner of the Solidaires En Peloton trimaran, DELANCHY on the top step of the Transat Jacques Vabre!

The partnership with Thibaut and the Solidaires en Peloton team is not new, but this end of 2023 has a special flavour with the victory in the Ocean Fifty category for the duo Thibaut Vauchel-Camu / Quentin Vlamynck.

The first part of this transatlantic race was particularly difficult, both in terms of navigation and nerves. Setting out from Le Havre the next day to take shelter in the port of Lorient and let a stormy front pass through, the multihull fleet completed this transatlantic race to Martinique in 2 legs.

Solidaires En Peloton won both legs, with a comfortable lead at the first finish in Lorient and perfect race management to ensure they never left the lead until Fort-de-France.

“It’s something I’ve been looking for for years, this great Transat victory. It’s finally achieving something quite incredible. Winning a multihull transatlantic race is no mean feat. We’ve adapted well to these two legs. In our sport, we spend our time doing things that aren’t planned and not doing things that are planned. A year after my capsize in the Route du Rhum, I’m delighted to be able to offer the 120,000 patients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and my partners this first place. Quentin and I were very much in sync throughout the race, making the right choices and being well guided by our routers.”
